The atmosphere is just so nice. It's so spacious, barely any crowds, and really quiet. There's squirrels running in circles around your feet, playing and chasing their tails. I'm not even joking, they're more common than birds here.
The make such an effort on aesthetics, and nearly every concrete necessity like stairs are surrounded by blossoming flowers to make up for the unsightly cement.
They casually have vines and greenery growing up the buildings. This is the Psychology building.
Wall stickers are taking over my room. I missed the presence of cats, so took things into my own hands.
I went on a CISA pub crawl, and oh gosh Australia o-week really has nothing on the craziness of this 'frosh' week. Apparently Concordia Uni is known as a party university, who knew? No complaints.
The pub crawl had us split up in to all different groups, and we each had a list of tasks to complete to earn money (Monopoly money.) We versed other groups in flip cup, beer pong, scull offs (did you know sculling isn't a word here?? Another sneaky Australian word. They just look at me blankly. It's 'chug', here ) and other such shenanigans.
Kiss the bartender. Kiss a cop. Kiss someone of your own sex. These were all tasks and very easily completed.
There may or may not have been a topless human pyramid here and there.
Despite being the only Aussie in my group, our group chant was Aussie Aussie Aussie!, Oy Oy Oy!
The above blurry photo was taken BEFORE any drinking began, so you can imagine the quality of the rest of the night.
I feel like I've really said nothing in the post. There's just too much to put into typing! I'll update next week with better content, promise.
Other notes:
- I finally got my industrial strength hairdryer to work. However, due to power-points here only being 120v instead of Australia's 240v, it's strength rivaled the puffs of hot air that my laptop supplies out the side. Fml.
- As Australia fashion seems to be a year behind everyone else, I may or may not have impulsively spent $300 online shopping to update my fashion sense. I regret nothing.
- Wine averages $8 a bottle! I'm never leaving this place.
- Asos is having a 25% off day for students! OMG HURRY IT ENDS TODAY

Amazingness! I now need to plan my trip to Canada..
